Course format
Allow approximately 7 hours for the self-paced online content. Short modules work on computers, tablets and smartphones.
Practical assessment and prerequisites
A live webcam assessment with a DATAC auditor is required. You will demonstrate error-free breathalyzer tests using a donor you select.
Prior device training is required. Provide proof of Device Qualification Training for the evidential breath tester used in your assessment.
You will need high-speed internet, a webcam, a headset with microphone, a DOT evidential breath testing device, its manufacturer-issued training certificate, 10 alcohol testing forms and 20 breathalyzer mouthpieces.
Complete the course within 30 days of registration.
